UniTalks: Multilingual Children Today and Tomorrow

For parents, teachers and educators at schools and day-care centres, raising multilingual children is as inspiring as it can be challenging. Knowing appropriate methods to make the most of the various languages is key.

  • What does it mean to be multilingual?
  • Are bilinguals more prone to speech disorders and less likely to have Alzheimer?
  • Do parents and teachers need to strictly separate languages for children to learn?
  • What are multilingual/ translanguaging pedagogies and to what extent can they promote multilingualism at school?
  • Does one need to be competent in two or more languages?
