Bilingualism Matters has been working with the educational platform Twinkl and Scotland's National Centre for Languages to develop new resources on bilingualism, for teachers to use in English and Gaelic speaking classrooms.
Free resources on what it means to be bilingual have been developed for teachers to use with their pupils at First Level in English and Gaelic speaking classrooms. Children can learn about the different ways we can be bilingual, the effects of bilingualism and some of the benefits to us all, through fun and educational acitivities. The resources, which include games, conversation cards, a quiz and much more, have been developed by the teacher team at Twinkl, in partnership with Bilingualism Matters and Scotland’s National Centre for Languages (SCILT).
Available in English and Gaelic (for use in Gaelic Medium Education contexts), it's a great way to start celebrating the linguistic diversity in schools!
Bilingualism Matters Edinburgh has teamed up with educational platform Twinkl and SCILT to create a range of free resources on bilingualism for teachers to use in English and Gaelic speaking classrooms.
