“VinKiamo Trentino”, along with “VinKiamo Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia”, and “VinKiamo Südtirol”, brings together the University and local high schools to empower secondary students in documenting and exploring local dialects and minority languages like Cimbrian, Ladin, and Mòcheno. Originating from the “VinKo - Varieties in Contact”-Project, grown to the “AlpiLink - Alpine Languages in Contact”-Project in 2023, VinKiamo aims to promote multilingualism in Northern Italy and to support active citizenship. This initiative improves students’ interpersonal abilities and enhances collaboration across generations by engaging them in the collection and digital archiving of linguistic data.
