On March 4th, 2025 at the University of Luxembourg, Claudine Kirsch gave a talk for parents clarifying myths, beliefs or insecurities a parent may have when raising a children in a multilingual context. This talk was hybrid, meaning that there were people who joined us in person at the University of Luxembourg and others who were online. Besides technical problems, Claudine was able to debank some myths parents might have. For those who came in person, the conversation the conversation continued over snacks and drinks.
Some of the topics discussed included how to manage a household with more than three languages, how to navigate a child’s identity formation, and the challenges children face when learning multiple languages We would like to thank to all the parents who came in person and online!
